The health sector is traditionally one of our important work areas. From contracts concerning traditional retirement homes in the sixties and seventies of the last century this area widened in the eighties to nursing homes, family homes and residential services for mentally handicapped. Currently our work focuses mainly on projects, where the changing social views on privacy, integration of care sectors and the transformation of existing buildings play an important role. In our designs we give much attention to the concepts of reversible and flexible building schemes. Our office is part of the STAGG (Health Buildings Architectural Research Foundation), a study foundation of the Union of Dutch Architects. This foundation is now part of 'BNA Research'. We are able to deal creatively with the governemental requirements and the tight budgets of our clients.
